Jan arrives late mid-season with pure white satin petals open wide into a luminous cup, surrounding a densely mounded center of brilliant golden stamens. This is a Japanese form peony, with guard petals framing a dramatically lit center on sturdy stems that hold them high. Jan brings a fragrance that is notably luxurious and clean.
Plant in USDA Growing Zones 3-8. Check the location where it will be planted on the USDA Hardiness Map.
Plant as soon as possible in fall which is the optimal time to plant peonies. If you need to wait, keep it in the peat moss and store it in a cool, dark, and dry place.

Unlike peony roots available at big-box stores that have been in packaging for months, our 3/5 eye peony roots are harvested in the Fall and delivered to you for immediate planting. Because peony roots are perishable outside of the ground, and to keep the freshest roots, availability may be limited post-harvest.
