Paula Fay is one of the three original varieties from the 1,000 Peonies proposal, first planted in a community garden in 2019.
Kristin and Eric didn't know what was in that first bundle of roots. Paula Fay was the surprise inside. A peony, unlike anything they had seen.
Paula Fay's electric pink, papier-mâché-like petals open 6-8" in a semi-double bloom early in the season. Her petals have a light fragrance, and the color fades gradually to a softer pink.

Plant as soon as possible in fall which is the optimal time to plant peonies. If you need to wait, keep it in the peat moss and store it in a cool, dark, and dry place.

Fresh fall roots give you healthy plants sooner. Unlike peony roots available at big-box stores that have been in packaging for months, our 3/5 eye peony roots are harvested in the Fall and delivered to you for immediate planting. Because peony roots are perishable outside of the ground, and to keep the freshest roots, availability may be limited post-harvest.
Because roots are perishable outside of the ground, returns must be initiated within 3 days of delivery. If return shipping is needed, please ship the return within 2 business days.
